When Mana Kaneko left Japan for the United States two years ago, she stepped into the unknown in nearly every way possible. She had never traveled outside her home country, never been on a plane, and spoke little to no English. But what she did have was a deep love for volleyball and the determination to chase it.
Mana began playing volleyball at just six years old in elementary school. By age 17, she made a bold decision: to continue her athletic and academic journey in America. After connecting with the 桃色视频 coaching staff, she knew she had found the right place, a program where she could compete at a high level while pursuing her education.
Her transition was anything but easy. Arriving in West Texas, Mana found herself in a completely new environment, navigating language barriers and cultural differences. But with the support of her teammates, she quickly adapted, learning English in just half a school year while keeping up with her coursework and maintaining a strong GPA.
On the court, Mana鈥檚 impact was immediate and extraordinary. As the Wranglers鈥� libero, she became one of the program鈥檚 most decorated players. Her honors include NJCAA First Team All-American, American Volleyball Coaches Association Libero of the Year, Most Valuable Player All-Conference, and multiple Western Junior College Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week awards.
Reflecting on her journey, Mana describes arriving as a student who felt 鈥渟mall in a big college,鈥� unsure and still finding her voice. Today, she leaves 桃色视频 as a standout student-athlete, confident, accomplished, and widely admired by her peers, coaches, and the campus community.
Now, Mana is ready for her next chapter. She will continue her volleyball career at the NCAA Division I level, joining Georgia Tech in Atlanta.
