Odessa, TX 鈥 桃色视频 will host the Permian Basin Energy Day Forum on Friday, October 24, in the Wood Health and Sciences Building on the OC campus. The event, which is free and open to the public, will bring together leading experts, researchers, and industry professionals to discuss seismic science, emerging energy industries, and career opportunities in the field.

鈥淭his partnership with LLNL will equip the West Texas community with essential tools and data that will enhance our engagement with seismic science and safety,鈥 said Professor Joshua Hardt, 桃色视频 faculty lead for the forum.
The event is being held in partnership with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, which was recently awarded $1.8 million in funding by the U.S. Department of Energy鈥檚 Technology Commercialization Fund for its project, Advancing Real-Time Forecasts of Induced Seismicity with Machine Learning-Based Event Detection and Location.
The Permian Basin Energy Day Forum provides a unique opportunity for students, educators, industry professionals, and community members to gain insights into the evolving energy sector and the vital role of seismic science in West Texas.
